December 31st, 2022
22 take aways from 2022: The year of significant growth, love, joy, and grief.
-Home lives within people, not a place.
-Lean into your power to change your life. You can rewrite your story at anytime, you just had no control over the beginning.
-Understand your loved ones love languages and give them their specialized love. I am worthy of receiving the love I desire.
-Bravery is healing for my anxiety.
-Everything you desire is what the universe wants for you. What you focus your energy on will grow.
Build tolerance for discomfort.
-All forms of relationships contain levels of intimacy that need nurturing.
-I love passionately and I am a deep feeler. Being vulnerable is self-protection, holding it in is self-sabotage.
-Life is moving water, and is in constant flow. Recognize your level of control in a situation.
-Don’t be over reliant on one place, job, or situation. Be ready to say fuck yes to the next opportunity. Recognize the spectrum of temporary and permanence.
-Conflict should be normalized and healthy when we navigate, communicate, and react from a place of compassion, understanding, and connection.
-Listen first, respond after.
-Communicate your needs and boundaries, once. Multiple chances diminishes your power and self respect.
-Companionship is always a conscious decision.
-Removing expectations makes for less disappointments and helps ground in the present.
-Most bad moods can be healed by either sleep, food, moving your body, getting into fresh air, or doing something tactile.
-Play all day and embrace your weirdness!
-Don’t fundamentally change yourself to make someone else feel comfortable. Never apologize for your feelings.
-Follow your intuition! If you want it, go after it. If you want to try something new, try it! If it doesn’t feel right, it isn’t.
-Life is a communal experience and is meant to be shared with all the people you love and those you have yet to meet.
-No one makes decisions for you.
-Find peace in your current. Love the journey - past & future.
-Fear is our most powerful limitation. Take the risk!
